Homeowners have until this Friday – 7th November – to file their return for their Local Property Tax 2026.
Todate over 550,000 homeowners have completed their returns – leaving over 1 million property owners who still need to complete their returns this week!!
Don’t get caught in the last minute rush and take a few minutes to follow these three steps:
1. Determine your property’s valuation band as at November 1, 2025.
2. Submit your LPT Return, including the valuation band, by Friday.
3. Pay, or make arrangements to pay your 2026 LPT charge.
Some homeowners may be exempt from paying LPT …
• The owner does not live in because of illness or disability.
• Was bought, built or adapted for someone who is permanently and totally incapacitated.
• Has a significant level of pyrite damage.
• Was built using defective concrete blocks.
• Is owned by a charity or a public body and is used for certain purposes.
• Is a registered nursing home.
• Is a commercial property.
