Gráinne is Managing Director of Sunrise Financial Planning and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with over 27 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry.

Gráinne specialises in helping individuals, families and business owners gain clarity and confidence about their financial future. Through personalised financial planning and cashflow modelling, she helps clients answer one of life’s most important questions: “How much is enough?” Giving them the confidence to make informed decisions about retirement, work, family, spending and the future they want to create.

She believes financial planning is about much more than money. It’s about helping people live their best lives, achieve their goals and focus on what matters most. Gráinne is particularly passionate about helping women take control of their finances and addressing the ongoing gap in pension provision for women in Ireland.

Known for her professional yet approachable manner, Gráinne prides herself on building long-term relationships with clients and helping them make confident financial decisions through every stage of life.

Outside of work, Gráinne enjoys travelling, attending live music events, spending time outdoors and meeting new people. She is a busy mum of three and is kept on her toes by her energetic dog, Bella.

Deirdre O’Doherty

Office Manager & Sales Support

ICM Diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations and Sales (HSI).

Deirdre has over 22 years of experience with Sunrise Financial Planning and as our Office Manager and Claims Expert. As the front of house representative, she is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office, managing client interactions, and providing expert support on claims matters

Deirdre’s knowledge of the Life Companies and their processing systems, and her helpful approach, make her an invaluable member of our team. She was previously also one of the top three finalists for the Customer Service Awards from the Young Irish Brokers Association (YIBA). Deirdre has extensive customer service experience, having previously worked with GE Capital within its Premium and Complaint Handling Department.

She is married to Rob, an avid football fan, and together they are busy raising their young daughter Emma.

Likes: Reality shows like ‘Making It’ and the ‘Great British Bake Off’… Positive and feel good television that leaves you amazed at what people can create, and a little inspired to try your hand at things too.

Pet Peeves: Daylight savings time… Who can even remember what it is really for, or why we still do it!

Fiona Hamilton

Qualified Financial Adviser

BBS (Hons), SIA, QFA, RPA, PTP.

Fiona is a Qualified Financial Adviser with over 26 years’ experience in the financial services industry, following an earlier career change. She has a multi-faceted role within Sunrise Financial Planning, working closely with Director Gráinne Ryan and supporting clients at every stage of their financial journey. Her broad experience and diverse responsibilities give her a unique understanding of both the financial planning process and the day-to-day needs of clients

Fiona has a particular interest in retirement and pension planning – holding a Professional Diploma in Retirement Planning Advice, a Professional Certificate in Pension Scheme Trusteeship, and the Specialist Investment Adviser designation.

Married to Tim and mum to three children, Fiona enjoys an active family life. Now that her children are older, she has more time to indulge her love of travel and discovering new destinations. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her family and dog, and the occasional cold-water dip.
