The May Bank Holiday marks a welcome long weekend – giving us the perfect opportunity to relax, enjoy time with loved ones, or explore new experiences.
Have you plans for the weekend? You may be planning on simply enjoying a restful day, catching up with friends or maybe a getaway. If are in Limerick why not visit Limerick’s Riverfest 2025 which is in its 21st year. It runs from Friday 2nd May and until Monday 5th May with loads of events – everything from food, fashion, family-fun and fireworks to water activities, live music and more.
Speaking of running, one of the highlights of the weekend is the Regeneron Great Limerick Run which takes place on Sunday 4th in the city centre. The event encourages individuals of all ages and abilities to compete attracting over 15,000 participants in recent years. It is the biggest mass participation sporting event outside Dublin, featuring three separate races – Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 6 Mile.
The best of luck to all the runners who have been training for this event. Watch out for road closures throughout the city on Sunday.
